A Salute to the Nation: Celebrating 80 Years of Independence

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with immense patriotism, pride, and enthusiasm at Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Ganeshnagar. The occasion was graced by esteemed members of the management—Mr. Kushal Hegde, President of Kannada Sangha; Dr. Narayan Hegde, Mrs. Radhika Sharma, Mrs. Sumati Shrinivasan, Mrs. Pallavi Naik , Mrs. Shobha Channal, Mrs. Muckta Karmarkar, Mrs. Anjali Kulkarni and Ms. Sameena Mansawala—along with the dedicated staff and enthusiastic students.

 

The National Flag was ceremoniously hoisted by Mr. Kushal Hegde amidst an atmosphere filled with pride, joy, and patriotic fervour. The ceremony was followed by a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram, which beautifully captured the spirit of the occasion.

Adding a meaningful dimension to the celebrations, a solemn pledge was taken to contribute towards making Maharashtra free from drug addiction. The students also pledged to uphold honesty and integrity by refraining from any form of malpractice in the forthcoming examinations. These pledges reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible, disciplined, and conscientious citizens.

 

The celebration was further enlivened by a melodious and inspiring musical presentation by the college. The vibrant performances and collective participation created an atmosphere of unity and national pride.

 

The celebration concluded on a deeply patriotic note, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of gratitude for our nation and a profound commitment to uphold its values. It was a memorable occasion that beautifully reminded us that the true spirit of independence lies not only in celebrating our freedom but also in fulfilling our responsibilities towards society and the nation.
