A Day of Joy and STEM Exploration at Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Ganeshnagar
On Children’s Day, Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Ganeshnagar, partnered with 21st Century Education Solutions (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. to host an experiential STEM workshop for Grade V students. The event aimed to celebrate the day with curiosity-driven learning and fun.
Facilitated by STEM educators Mrs. Tejal Vyas-Mungi and Mrs. Rashmi, the session began with crafting rotocopters using paper. Students eagerly followed instructions, then delighted in watching their creations spin. This activity introduced them to air resistance, sparking questions about flight.
Next, the air pressure experiment left everyone amazed: water mysteriously rose into a straw, prompting students to connect the dots between temperature, pressure, and volume. “It works on air pressure!” some exclaimed. Simple yet mind-bending demos on center of gravity and light’s straight path followed.
This celebration wasn’t just fun—it nurtured critical thinking. The blend of science, joy, and discovery left our young learners inspired and excited.
