Overview:

Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College witnessed a spiritually uplifting and culturally vibrant atmosphere as the students of Class XII organized a joint celebration of Gurupornima and Ashadhi Ekadashi at the college Audio-Visual (A.V.) Room at 3:00 PM. The event was dedicated to honoring the timeless teacher-student bond and showcasing Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage.

 

Event Highlights:

  • Musical Performances by Rhythm & Roots: The cultural session commenced with soul-stirring performances by the student group Rhythm & Roots. Three students mesmerized the audience with devotional songs (Abhangas), filling the room with divine devotion and tranquility.
  • Traditional Dance: Following the musical session, a graceful traditional dance was performed, reflecting the spirit of the Wari tradition associated with Ashadhi Ekadashi. The performance enthralled the audience and highlighted the artistic talents of the students.
  • Felicitation of Teachers: In a heartwarming gesture marking Gurupornima, students from the Kalam Center presented beautifully handcrafted cards to all the teachers. Each card carried thoughtful, handmade designs along with deeply moving messages expressing gratitude to the educators for their continuous guidance and mentorship.

Conclusion: The dual celebration of Gurupornima and Ashadhi Ekadashi was a resounding success. It provided a splendid platform for Class XII students to express their reverence for their gurus while reconnecting with cultural traditions. The event successfully combined devotion, gratitude, and artistic expression, leaving a lasting and joyful impression on both teachers and students alike.
