Cybergenius, the annual inter-school IT competition hosted by Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Ganeshnagar (KHSG), brings together young tech enthusiasts to showcase their skills in programming, MS Paint, Quiz, and more. With participation from leading schools across the state, the event fosters innovation, collaboration, and a passion for technology among students.

Junior Group

Scratch Programming (Submission online, Final round online)

  •  Students can participate individually or in a team of 2
  • Students can choose any one topic from the given list and complete the program using Scratch
  • Completed program code (.sb3 file type) needs to be submitted at scheduled dates through Google form submission up to 15th Nov 2025. Students can even upload the video recording of outputs along with program code
  • Based on the outputs and program codes, candidates will be shortlisted for Viva Round using online platform on 6th Dec 2025 where Domain experts can ask Questions regarding the completed program

Topics

  1. Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration: Create a 3-minute animated story of a Ganesh idol’s journey through Pune, with at least 3 unique character sprites and 2 different sound effects.
  2. Mahatma Gandhi: Design a historical maze game where a character sprite of Mahatma Gandhi must collect 5 “salt” sprites and reach the end of the path in under 150 seconds.
  3. Indian Solar System Mission (Mangalyaan): Code a game where a satellite sprite successfully navigates a field of 10 moving asteroid sprites, avoiding collision for at least 30 seconds.
  4. Panchatantra Stories: Animate a chosen Panchatantra story, including at least 2 characters with dialogues, 3 different backdrop changes, and a clear moral message delivered at the end.
  5. Diwali: Build an interactive project where users can light up 5 different virtual diyas by clicking on them, with each click triggering a unique sound and light animation.

M.S. Paint (At KHS on 29th Nov 2025)

  • Students will participate individually. (Max 4)
  • Students can choose only one topic from the topics given at the event
  • No prepared images can be used
  • Students need to complete the Paint drawings of chosen topic in the allotted time at KHS.

Design a Poster using MS PowerPoint / Google Slides /Canva (At KHS on 29th Nov 2025)

  • Students will participate individually. (Max 4)
  • No already prepared images can be used
  • Students can choose only one topic from the pool of chits available at the competition desk
  • Student can use any application such as MS PowerPoint or Google slides
  • If you don’t plan to BYOD, offline version of M.S. Power Point 2016 is available at KHS
  • If you are planning to use the platform like Google Slides, Canva Students can bring their own devices (Laptops) and internet for the competition (Optional)
  • Laptops carried by students should have the respective software / applications installed for making the presentations
  • Students need to complete the Presentation in the allotted time at KHS

IT Quiz (At KHS on 06th Dec 2025)

  • The IT Quiz is a competition for team of max 2 students. Each school shall send only one team
  • The contest will last for 1 hour 30 mins and will consist of three rounds
  • Round 1: All participating teams will compete in this round
  • Round 2 & 3: The top 4 teams with the highest scores from Round 1 will advance to the final two rounds
  • The winner will be the team with the highest combined score from Round 2 and Round 3

Senior Group

Python programming (At KHS on 15th Nov 2025)

  • Students can participate individually. (Max 6)
  • Students can choose only one topic from the pool of chits available at the competition desk
  • Student can use any of the python programming platforms e.g. IDLE / PyCharm / Spyder etc.
  • Students can bring their own devices (Laptops) and internet for the competition
  • Laptops carried by students should have the respective software / applications installed for Python programming
  • If you don’t plan to BYOD then IDLE 3.6.2 is available at KHS
  • Students need to complete the program in the allotted time at KHS
  • It is recommended to bring your own Internet if you are planning to use any online coding platform

Creating AI Based digital Story booklet creation (OBYOD) using Generative AI (At KHS on 15th Nov 2025)

  • Students needs to participate individually. (Max 6)
  • Students can choose only one topic from the topics given at the event
  • Students can bring their own devices (Laptops) and internet for the competition
  • Laptops carried by students should have the respective software / applications / Tool installed for AI Image generation with already logged in Account
  • Students need to complete the Digital Story Book in the allotted time at KHS which is 1hr
  • It is recommended to bring your own laptop with Internet
  • Students can compose final output for Digital Story Book in PDF, PPT, Photoshop, paint, Canva or any other software they want to choose

Guidelines for Final Output:

  • Output should be in the form of a Digital Story Book with dialogues. (Please find the attached references.)
  • Digital Story Book must consist of maximum 10 Pages, you can generate as much as you want for better clarity of the story
  • You can use any AI image generation tool either free or paid. Such as Midjourney, Leonardo.ai, ideogram, adobe firefly, Gemini etc. There’s no tool compulsion.
  • While submitting the final output the participant must copy paste the final prompts used for image generations in below format

Innovative Start-up Idea (At KHS on 6th Dec 2025)

  • Students can participate in a team of min 2 students / max 4 students
  • Students can choose any one topic from the given themes and need to develop a product and a startup idea.
  • Students have to make a Descriptive Presentation (PPT) and a 3 min Pitch MP4 video on the given drive.
  • Top 10 teams will be declared within 3-4 working days.
  • Selected teams have to make a pitch of 7-8 min to promote the product and ask for support to their startup
  • It is recommended to bring your own laptop and internet for actual demonstrations to judges in case of presenting the app or website or the solution which required special software.
  • The panel of judges will include IT Professionals, Industry Experts and Entrepreneurs.
  • KHSG will conduct an online session on Design Thinking and Business pitch for students.
  • Important Dates :
    • Online session on Design Thinking and Pitching – 8th Nov (Kindly register by 7th November to benefit from this insightful session.)
    • Submission of PPT – 22nd Nov
    • Elimination results – 27th Nov
    • Final Presentation of the selected 10 teams – 6th Dec

Themes:

  1. Green Tech Start-ups – Using ICT for environmental protection, waste management, or reducing carbon footprints.
  2. Digital Health & Well-being – Apps or solutions for fitness, stress management, or first-aid awareness.
  3. Agritech for Young Innovators – Simple ICT or IoT tools to help farmers with weather, pricing, or crop information.
  4. Cyber Safety & Digital Citizenship – Ideas to promote online safety among teenagers.
  5. Smart Villages/Smart City – ICT solutions for rural development or urban problems. e-services or smart tools to help the society.

Note:

  1. Product can be an app, a website, or any other tools and technology-based offering, a prototype/model, IoT based product etc. It can be a service or information portal which can show and connect with stakeholders.
  2. You may present a part of your solution, as we understand that creating a complete working prototype within the given time period is difficult. But you need to explain your start-up idea in detail.
  3. You have to pitch the idea to the panel of judges and ask for support in the form of Mentorship/Resources/Recognition/ Partnership or financial help. (Similar to Shark _Tank).
  4. Presentation should include:
    • Team Name & Product name and Start-up name with a tagline
    • Problem Statement
    • Process of development of your Solution
    • How it Works (with demo/diagram/prototype if possible)
    • Business Model – your roles, your users (Customers) and the Uniqueness (USP) of your idea.
    • Cost & Feasibility (basic idea of expenses/resources)
    • Marketing Campaign (Poster/flyer/Ad video etc.)
    • Impact and future scope.
  5. Video (3 min max) should include: Start-up Pitch

Data analysis using MS Excel dashboards without AI (At KHS on 15th Nov 2025)

  • Students need to participate individually (Max 6).
  • Actual assignment statement and data required for analysis will be provided at the competition desk
  • Students can use Pie charts / Bar Graphs / any other supported reporting format available in excel for data analysis
  • Students can bring their own devices (Laptops)
  • Laptops carried by students should have the respective version of MS Office installed which s/he wants to use for Data analysis using MS Excel dashboards
  • Students need to complete the task in the allotted time at KHS

• Students should not wear school uniform on the event day.
