KHS-G conducts Student Leadership Conference
KHS Ganeshnagar held its 6th Student Leadership Conference on 26th,27th and 28th August 2022. The theme of the conference was ‘ME to WE: Igniting the spirit of leadership’. A whopping 128 students of grades 9 and 10 from 20 schools across Pune and schools from Akola and Ankleshwar also participated in this event.

 

It was a two-day residential conference in which the students came together to develop effective leadership skills, interact with fellow student leaders and engage in experiences which challenged them to develop as a leader. SLC 2022 commenced with an inspiring speech by renowned public speaker Mr. Narendra Giodani who shared his leadership stories and inspired the young children at the inaugural ceremony. Several workshops were conducted by eminent personalities during the conference. Mr. Manish Freeman conducted a Game-a -thon session on the first day on teamwork. ‘The World Café’ fostered collaborative dialogue, active engagement and constructive possibilities for action on sustainable living.

 

Mr Anand Chabukswar engaged the students through a session on the importance of stories (Folk narratives, personal stories, patterns) to help the youngsters understand culture, technology and life.
Children thoroughly enjoyed the cooperative games session by Mr. Manish Freeman in which he emphasized the importance of games in life, which helped the children understand the momentous of conducting games and how to make the crowd play without any material in hand along with music. The early morning Zumba session by Mrudang Desai was energetic and loved by all.
Mr. Kiran Gandhi conducted a session on ‘Living and Leading for a better life’.
Dr. Aanand Godse and Sameena Manasawala conducted various activities, related to real life situations and highlighted the importance of being followers sometimes.

 

A significantly important event of the year SLC 2022 was a thoroughly fulfilling experience which is clearly visible from the wonderful feedback that we received from the participating students of various schools across the city.
