The orientation for the new academic years were conducted on 3rd June 2026 for grades 7 & 8 and 4th June for grade 6. Since the auditorium space was under renovation, the orientation was conducted in the respective classes. The common topics discussed were school timings, Edunext as the single mode of communication, and the school rules, leaves and discipline. The SDGs (The UN sustainable development goals) are grouped under 8 pillars under the Kaveri Group of Institutes initiative of Environment, Social Governance (ESG). The Annual theme continues to be Sustainable Development Goals for the next few years.
Evaluation patterns for grades 6, 7 and 8 stay the same. However, CBSE has introduced new subjects: Computational thinking and Artificial Intelligence which will be handled by the Math’s teachers and the computer teachers respectively. Another new subject is Financial literacy which will be covered under Math’s.
For grade 6: A pilot program called Kalavardhini has been introduced to develop talent and depth in Art, vocal and instrumental music and dance. A similar program Krida Sanwardhan has been introduced for sports. Students are expected to choose any one art form and any one sport for 3 years and develop proficiency in it.
The Std. 5 Orientation took place in the Primary school auditorium in two batches to accommodate 3 divisions each. Parents were briefed about the secondary section and the rules, school programs, ATL, and the various programs conducted by the counseling center.
