KHSG, KHSB, and KIS students participated in a three-day Kalaripayattu workshop organized in association with Nrityyatri. This ancient martial art from Kerala emphasized strength, flexibility, balance, and mental focus, and formed the foundation for many Indian dance practices. The one-and-a-half-hour daily sessions introduced students to basic movements, discipline, and body control. The workshop was conducted by volunteers from the Isha Foundation and facilitated by Inbatamilan, Mahanyas, and Vinodini. Learning Kalaripayattu helped students develop physical fitness, coordination, confidence, cultural awareness, resilience, teamwork, and respect for India’s traditional art forms, while encouraging discipline, mindfulness, perseverance, holistic growth, and sustained interest in heritage.
