Grade 9 theme-based assembly (22nd July, 2025) had adopted the topic for Sustainable Developmental Goal No 5 – Gender Equality.
The presentation was set in the backdrop of a courtroom scenario that had a case of twins (Rakhi and Rakshak) who due to societal pressures led a different life based of gender biases and were seeking justice for the inconveniences rendered to them through life.
The skit ended stating that both males and females along with the LGBTQ community have had their share of being made to suffer and that only positive thought processes can help eradicate these differences.
The skit was woven in such a manner that helped dances and music to be presented as evidences through the case presented.
As a part of ‘Community-connect ‘ students previously interviewed Mr. Anil, founder of Yutak Foundation who has helped in getting justice and fair chance to the LGBTQ community, his interaction was video graphed and showcased on the day of assembly.
Mr. Zameer Kamble was the chief guest who has worked extensively in the said field.
Towards the end all the teachers, students and helping staff dispersed with smiling faces having received immediate and positive response from the Guests and Parents present in the auditorium, through the diligent handling of Mentimeter (online feedback app) by the technical team.
