Class assemblies help community building by providing a common platform for the students to showcase their learning, celebrate their achievements, and share their opinions based on the theme of the year.
This year’s school theme is diversity. STD 10 assembly was conducted on 16th June. The theme was ‘Diversity in literature’. Literature across the world is a rich and diverse field that reflects the multiplicity of voices and experiences of the people at large. Literature is a vast field that knows no geographical bounds.
After the introduction which brought out the importance of literature, the students presented a skit titled ‘ Clash of Authors’ in which they portrayed the work of many renowned authors and poets from all over the world. The skit was in the form of a game through which the students learnt about their work and their achievements through narrative, poems, quotes, songs. The skit was highly appreciated by all. This was followed by a lively rap – the newest form of literature.
The students then wowed the audience with a melodious performance of devotional songs from all parts of India.
The special guest Mrs Rupali Bhave the founder of Jacaranda, a theatre organisation for children shared her thoughts with the audience.
