Synopsis of the webinar conducted by Physics Department

We all are aware, that this year is celebrated as the centenary year for Albert Einstein’s work on Photoelectric effect. To commemorate this occasion, Department of Physics has organized a Webinar on Wave particle Duality. The main objective of the webinar was to reveal the journey from Classical to Quantum mechanics.

The whole programme was divided into six elements. It started with black body radiation (with failures of classical mechanics to explain the same phenomenon) Bohr’s postulates and hydrogen spectrum, detail explanation of Davison and Germer and Compton Experiment with applications, the theory of Photoelectric effect and its applications. Students from all the divisions participated in the webinar and presented the content through power point.

Mrs. Manisha Hawaladar from Bharat English School was the guest for the webinar. Almost more than 70 people attended the webinar. It was very well appreciated by the guest, the staff and the students.
