Event

As part of Compassion Day, a meaningful initiative was initiated by the Counselling unit on 10th Sept. 2026, to recognise and appreciate the invaluable contribution of our school helpers. They are an integral part of the college community and play an important role in ensuring that the school functions smoothly each day.

To express our gratitude in a simple yet heartfelt manner, a team of teachers, counsellors and librarian came together to prepare and cook a meal themselves. The teachers then served the freshly prepared food to the helpers, creating a warm and informal space for interaction and connection.

The initiative went beyond simply sharing a meal. It was an opportunity for teachers to step into the role of serving, to acknowledge the efforts of the helpers and to make them feel seen, valued and appreciated. The smiles, conversations and shared moments made the occasion especially meaningful.

The celebration reinforced the idea that compassion begins with gratitude and is reflected through our actions. It also highlighted the importance of recognising the people around us whose everyday efforts often go unnoticed. Through this small gesture, the school community came together to celebrate kindness, dignity, empathy and togetherness.
