The session of the Gifted Nurturing Programme was conducted on 30th Sept. 2026 to facilitate rapport building, peer connection and a sense of belonging among the newly identified gifted students from different streams.
The session began with an engaging activity, with various characteristics commonly associated with giftedness displayed on chits. As the music stopped, the students, one by one picked a chit, read the characteristic aloud, and shared a personal experience related to it. Facilitators and peers also shared their experiences, creating an open and relatable discussion.
The activity helped students recognise that many of their experiences and characteristics were shared by others, helping them feel understood and less alone. It also provided a natural platform for students from different streams to interact, connect and begin building a supportive peer group—the foundation for their journey through the Gifted Nurturing Programme.
