For the first time, all the Kaveri schools and Junior college came together to host a mega sport event – The Kaveri Khel Mohotsav. It was held at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex.

The institutes that formed the heartbeat of the Kaveri Khel Mahotsav were – KHS Primary, KHS Secondary- Ganeshnagar, Kannada Medium School, KHS Baner, Kaveri International School and Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College.

The Phase 1 of this Mega event was the Team events for games such as – Langadi, Football, Throwball, Kho-kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Basketball for students from grades 3 to 12. These team events of Kaveri Khel Mohotsav were conducted in the months of August and September and the Prize distribution for the same was held on the 25th of November.

Phase 2 was the finale ceremony of the ‘Kaveri Khel Mohotsav’! It had special invitees namely – Mr. Kashinath Naik, Mr. Rohan More and Mrs. Manisha Lande.

The day was packed with enthusiasm and started with welcoming the students, teachers, management members and special invitees. To officially mark the commencement, there was bringing in of the torch followed by releasing of the balloons.

Post this there was interweaving of displays by various sections, final track events and distribution of medals.

Later in the day the sections with highest scores and medal achievers was calculated which gave way to trophies being won by –

• KHS Primary section in 1st to 4th Standard category.
• KHS Ganeshnagar in 5th to 7th Standard category.
• KHS Ganeshnagar in 8th to 10th Standard category. And,
• Junior college for 11th and 12th grades.

Overall the inception year of KKM was a resounding success, filled with many cherished memories.
