Std IX Assembly 23-24

The most awaited moment of the year is the annual assembly. This year, the theme of our 9th std assembly was diversity in climate and was conducted on 12 July. This topic was represented through various forms, skit, dances, song, poem, nursery rhymes and even a pledge.

It started with a skit; about a family where the parents were worried because their kids did not know the importance of climate sustainability. Then introducing a new character, Naradmuni who advises them to watch the TV channel ‘climate darshan’. The first segment on it shows a news program where the reporters talk about the bizarre incidents where the climate was acting very unusual. The kids, hesitant at first, developed a keen interest and learned a lot about the climate. This is where the kids start developing their interest in climate sustainability. It was further developed because of the engaging shows and activities telecast on ‘climate darshan’. The TV ads in between included a Japanese song on the 4 seasons, a classical dance, 3 bollywood dances and the imitation of the TATA tea ad.
All these engaging activities added to the entertainment parameter and definitely caught the attention of the audience.

The next segment, telecasted a game show ‘Kaun banega climate satark’ which included questions based on diversity of the climate. It indeed was an engaging show inspired from the famous ‘KBC’. By this time, the kids had understood the importance of sustainability in climate. To add a cherry on the cake, chief guest, Mrs. Pradnya Patki, an architect gave her thoughts on diversity in climate. She told the audience about her work and importance of climate in architecture. Surely, she inspired everyone.

Last but not the least, the program was ended with a poem recitation and a pledge to maintain the diversity of the climate. This is how, 9th std assembly for the year 2023 – 24 took place; indeed a power-packed program filled with zest, enthusiasm, creativity, entertainment and the endless efforts put in by class teachers of 9th std and ofcourse the students. The program wouldn’t have been a success without the outstanding work by the technical, prop and the backstage team.
