CTiS Conference 2023

The conference on Computational Thinking in Schools (CTiS2023) was organised by CSPathshala on 7th and 8th July, 2023 at IISER, Pune hosted by City Pride School, Pune. The conference was conducted in hybrid mode where some of the speakers, presenters and participants attended the conference online. The conference focused on enhancing teacher preparation for integrating computational thinking in the curriculum.

As our school was a pilot school to implement CSPathshala curriculum since 2016, our computer teachers are well aware of Computational thinking and they have presented papers in the CTiS conferences. Last year we hosted the conference and our language and maths teachers presented their papers. This year Hindi, Sanskrit and SST along with computer teachers sent their abstracts.
The paper by our Hindi teacher Mrs. Jayashree Narayankar, ‘Muhavaro ko samzna aur unaka prayog’ and paper by our Sanskrit teacher Mrs. Snehal Kulkarni on ‘Importance of pronunciation in Sanskrit’ were selected for presentation. They presented their papers in ‘CT in Language’ section on 8th July’23.

CTiS provided a platform for teachers, educators and experts to share their best practices as well as challenges faced in implementing computational thinking in education. The presentations and discussions in the conference on integrating CT activities in various school subjects, CT based experiments and classroom research conducted by teachers and educators across the country made these two days a great learning experience for each one of us.
