Education isn’t confined to the four walls of a classroom.
This year our students volunteered and were also selected to attend a variety of learning camps during the summer break.
These camps offered them an opportunity to explore a new environment, meet new people, collaborate with others, and gain a positive perspective towards learning. It was an amazing opportunity for personal growth and learning, to develop important life skills, while embracing diversity and celebrating new friendships. Our students participated in the following camps:
- Gramsetu – Rural urban Connect initiative
A 5-day camp was organised by Grampari Panchgani with the objective to build connections between rural and urban school students to understand each other’s contexts, gain perspective on volunteering for social and environmental change and practice trust building exercises.
- German language camp in Cochi and Srilanka- PaSch organised a German Camp in Kochi. These camps were from 21st to 25th May. The theme of the camp was ‘ My City my Profession’. Students participated in various activities like T-Shirt painting, fashion show, presentations and learning games.
- Padmini Godbole from the batch of 2022-23 got a golden opportunity to participate in PASCH Regional Youth Camp ” DIGIVERSE How to read media” held in SriLanka.
It was an international experience which brought together students from South East Asia. Participants from varied cultures, backgrounds interacted and learned together.
The participants got a beautiful experience to visit National park as well as see Shri Lankan Village, and play games that encouraged communication, interaction and collaboration among the participants.
- Spic Macay in Nagpur – students attended an immersive 4 day camp to gain awareness about different aspects of Indian heritage of art and music and imbibe the values embedded in it.
- Program Episteme 2023 – two of our students are attending this two-week residential STEM based enrichment program on the IIIT campus in Hyderabad. The goal of the program is to add value to the students’ innovation and Design Thinking capabilities, foster space for real-world application of STEM, and enhance their 21st-century skills.
We are glad our students seized these enriching opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.
