Parichay Divas has been a tradition at KHSG for the past seven years and is conducted through panel discussions featuring prominent personalities from diverse career backgrounds. This year, it was conducted as an interactive session for the students.

Our students of grades 9 and 10 got the opportunity to attend Parichay Divas conducted by Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar, a renowned author, and educator. The program received an overwhelming response from the students – they were enthusiastic about getting their career-related queries answered and were curious to know more about emerging careers. Dr. Kelkar candidly answered the students’ questions related to various career domains.

He spoke to the students about the importance of staying focused on their goals. He also encouraged students to engage in yoga practices like Pranayama to achieve optimal levels of focus. He discussed why smart work is more important than laborious hard work.

Dr. Kelkar spoke about the fourth industrial revolution, or Revolution 4.0, that will require us to master more than one skill and become deep-rooted in our subject matter. Emerging careers in fields like psychology, gaming, policy-making, economics, biotechnology, and UI/UX design were also discussed.

Dr. Kelkar encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit while stressing the fact that degrees are necessary but not sufficient.

The program went on for over 2 hours and was a success, thanks to the students’ enthusiasm and Dr. Kelkar’s brilliant ability to connect with them and guide them.
