Walk to school was celebrated on the occasion of Children’s’ day. Dr Kalmadi Shamarao Highschool has initiated the Walk to School event for the past 4 years with the intention of promoting road safety pollution free environment saving fuel and including the habit of exercising as a part of healthy lifestyle. Globally Walk to school is celebrated on 4th of October, but owing the tight academic schedule and events this year it was celebrated on 14th November 2022 on the occasion of Children’s Day.

The school collaborated with the organization Walk it out Talk it out. Further more both teaching and non-teaching staff accompanied the students from 8 different pre-determined points at a distance of 2 kms. The whole event was huge success of approximately 1400 students and 80 staff members who participated zestfully shouting out slogans and displaying the banners prepared by the students and Art department for the same.
