Dress the Door

KHSG organized an extremely fascinating and innovative inter-class event, in September titled “Dress the Door” for grade 6 and 7 students.
The themes assigned to these grades were “Seva” and “Parivartan” respectively.
The students and the teachers brainstormed and came up with unique ideas to represent the theme. Based on the theme Parivartan, grade 7 students took up various topics such as Change in Food, Clothing, Art and Culture, Technology, Education and Change in my City.
Grade 6 students took topics related to Seva such as Seva in History, in nature, in society and towards animals. They brought out the importance of Seva through various activities which included speeches on great social workers, dramatization, visiting NGO’s.

The happiness and joy on their faces while decorating their classes was a delight to watch.
These topics helped the students to understand how important change is, for oneself and for the society. They realised, how little things can help to change the lives of many people around them. The students’ active participation in the activity made it a great success. Their efforts were highly appreciated by the judges as well as the teachers and parents.

Soon the results were out, but there was a little twist in the way of selecting the winners.
The students had worked very hard and keeping in mind their enthusiasm and to keep them motivated, the classes were given prizes in different categories, such as Best presentation, Best content, Most impressive Display, etc.
The children were ecstatic on receiving a prize.

This remarkable experience has surely helped them in boosting their confidence, enhancing their creativity and most importantly working as a team. This program will leave fond memories for the participants and benefit each and everyone who was a part of it.
