The Girevoy Sport India Federation (GSIF), established in 2013, is a self-funded, non-profit organization registered in Maharashtra (Mumbai) and serves as the national governing body for Kettlebell (Girevoy) Sport in India. Affiliated with the World Kettlebell Sport Federation (WKSF), GSIF is dedicated to promoting awareness, training athletes, and organizing competitions at national and international levels. The federation has developed a structured championship pathway that guides athletes from grassroots participation to global competition. It begins with Zonal Championships held in major cities to identify emerging talent. This is followed by Interstate Championships, where athletes compete at a higher regional level to qualify for national standards. The National Championships, held annually in April, determine rankings and serve as selection trials for the Indian National Team. Selected athletes then compete in the Asian Championships, gaining international exposure. The journey culminates at the World Championships, where athletes represent India on the global stage. GSIF emphasizes a transparent and merit-based system to ensure equal opportunities for all participants. Through its initiatives, the federation aims to build a strong sporting culture and position Indian kettlebell athletes as global leaders in strength and endurance.
