Republic Day Celebration 2025

Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College celebrated the 76th Republic Day on January 26th, 2025, in the college premises.

 

The event was graced by a distinguished gathering, including members of the management team—President Mr.Kushal Hegde, Vice- President Mrs. Indira Salian, Secretary Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Hon. Trustee Dr. Chadrahas Shetty, Hon.

 

Trustee Dr. Balajit Shetty, Head Admin Kannada Sangha Sumathi Srinivasan, Associate Director, Academics Preeti Desai, Associate Director for Kaveri Counselling Empowerment and Gifted Centre Dr. Devsena Desai and the Chief Guest, Dr. Prathik Hegde.

 

Principal Mrs.Shobha Channal, along with staff, students, and heads of various sections such as Kannada-medium, Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, Baner-section, and KIS Lohegaon, also attended the celebration.

 

The gathering, filled with a spirit of patriotism and dedication, assembled in front of the college building. The program commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Dr. Prathik Hegde, followed by the National Anthem and the pledge led by Junior College Principal, Mrs.Shobha Channal. The atmosphere was further charged with the rhythmic vocal performances by students from KHS Ganeshnagar, which resonated across the campus. The badges crafted by Junior College Swayam students were appreciated by the guests, adding a personal and creative touch to the event.

 

A highlight of the celebration was the Prize Distribution Ceremony and Cultural Program held in the Auditorium. Dr. Prathik Hegde, the Chief Guest, felicitated students who excelled in various sports and extracurricular activities. Mrs.Indira Salian presented Endowment awards, while Mrs. Malati Kalmadi distributed the Kalashree Prizes, Perceptive Minds Award and Best Parenting Award.

 

The cultural program kicked off with a video showcasing a mock parliament activity performed by Junior College students. The vibrant performances from Pre-Primary, Primary School (Ketkar Road), KHS Baner, and KIS Lohegaon were a visual delight, evoking a strong sense of patriotism in all those present. Dr. Prathik Hegde, the Chief Guest, delivered an inspiring and motivational speech, urging both students and attendees to contribute to the nation’s growth through collective efforts.

 

The program concluded with the chanting of Vande Mataram, followed by a message of unity and nation-building, emphasizing the importance of working together for a brighter future.
