A one day field visit was organized by the Geography department to Limb and to Wai on the 28th of November 2024 There were 40 students who attended the visit.
The group visited the necklace point where students saw the river meander on the Krishna river and the Bhor – Bhatghar dam wall. The group visited the step well at Limb to see the structure and reason for building the well and the figurines on the well.
Students were requested to look around for the changes in land use patterns, subsistence agricultural practices etc. Various mountain structures were seen and discussed.
The group then visited the residence of Nana Fadnavis where students saw excellent wood work, paintings, stone fountains etc. The students then visited the ghats where they enjoyed the water of the river and saw a bell which is made of 5 metal alloys. Both parents and students felt that the visit was a great success and they look forward to such visits.
