Event Highlights
- Pre-movie speech emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and the significance of World Mental Health Day.
- Post-movie discussion was facilitated by the facilitators by addressing questions and concerns of the students. Students shared deep concern about how being a part of the system many a time achieving good in academics is considered as the only way to achieve success and many a times other talents and skill goes unnoticed. Students also talk about parental expectations and how difficult it becomes to move away from that and follow their passion. One student shared that if they really have to withstand the societal/parental pressure then they need to stand together and accept others as they are and be very empathetic towards each other. Some students found the move very preachy and direct and whereas others shared that it’s being direct was the plus point as it conveyed the message loud and clear. Few students shared that few areas in the movie were left unfinished and it needed closure. One student shared in the movie where it felt the movie has reached the ending as the protagonist has found her way forward but then that way forward turns out to be a disaster and the next door of opportunity opens up for her which is even bigger and better than the earlier. This shows that how the life if for all of us when one door closes upon us another one waiting to be open, this gives strong message of hope and resilience and teaches us that we really need to be patient and wait for the right opportunity and should not give up. Overall the event went off really well and we had a many positive feedbacks from the students. The event ended with vote of thanks.
