The Compassion Day was celebrated in our college on 10th September 2024 to commemorate birthday of Late. Shri Baburao Sir, Ex- Trustee of Kannada Sangha.
Students of the Readers’ Club enthusiastically participated in making decorative charts on the theme ‘Compassion’ which were displayed on the college notice board.
The Theme ‘Compassion Canvas’ for the notice board decoration invited students to create Palm prints on a large canvas with the synonymous words for the word ‘Compassion’, written on them.
Dipping of their hand palms in paint and creating the impressions on the canvas, left a lasting impact on students’ minds.
Mrs. Shobha Channal, Principal and Mrs. Ashwini Sarpotdar, Librarian also took part in the activity of palm prints.
Another chart was named as ‘Compassion Defined’, wherein students expressed what compassion means to them in the form of poems, quotable quotes, drawings, stories and biographical account of compassionate personalities.
Diverse display of thoughts focusing on kindness and empathy encouraged students to practice compassion in their day to day life.
