An induction session took place on 6th July 2024. The newly appointed teachers were a part of this session. The session was conducted offline. The objectives of the session were –

• To help familiarize and enable them adapt to the teaching environment at the institute
• To provide accurate information and clarity about the execution of work
• To make them understand, the vision and mission of the organization; its philosophy
• Most importantly, explain what does it mean to be a TEACHER at KGI.

The session began by welcoming the teachers to the KSJC family and encouraged them to be open with new ideas and take over the responsibilities with an open mind. The session was jointly facilitated by Ms. Shobha Channal, Principal and Ms. Smita Pradhan, Senior Counsellor. The history, philosophy, Vision, Mission and the belief system of the organization were highlighted by counsellor. Major emphasis was on the overall functioning of college and the various internal departments and core committees the college has, for its smooth functioning.

The session gave a fair idea to the newly joined about the KSJC culture and expectations of the institute from a teacher. The session took them through a major thought of being a teacher at KGI and created an excellent opportunity to connect, understand each others’ opinion and also share learning experiences. Ms. Shobha Channal, Principal, shared lot of points that NEP talks about which we are already doing, connecting them with the vision statement. Some formal rules and regulations were also explained at length.

The session ended with everyone reflecting and sharing their thoughts and also promising themselves for spreading this spirit of goodness among the students as well.
