Toppers’ Talk Arts Section

The talk started with a round of applause for the Toppers by current std. XII students. After their introduction questions were asked by students about various subjects. The subject order was English, Psychology, Maths, German, Geography, Political Science, Marathi, Economics and History. Students were extremely eager to get guidance from their seniors and many questions. The toppers’ guided them well while insisting on maintaining a balance between academic and non-academic pursuits. ‘Consistency is the key’ was the message given by the overall topper Isheeta Shinde.

Toppers’ showed immense enthusiasm and were enormously gracious while giving them various tips and tricks to excel Boards. They also insisted upon watching documentaries available on OTTs to understand practical subjects like Geography better. Social media channels like ‘Jun-yuh’ and ‘oversimplified’ were also suggested by them to understand concepts and study management.

Many students flocked around the toppers’ post the talk too as they had doubts regarding pathways to choose post 12th std for their career.

Overall, the Talk was a great way of learning for both the students and the teachers as well. Students were left with a new goal and inspiration of becoming like their seniors and securing a place on the dais for the next Toppers’ Talk.

Toppers’ Talk Commerce Section

A session Toppers’ Talk was arranged for Commerce stream on 27th June 2024,wherein the toppers and achievers from the previous batch with academic excellence were invited to interact with the current XII graders.

The toppers shared their experiences with respect to how they excelled in their chosen domains and the career choices they have made.

It gave important tips to the students regarding preparation for Boards and various entrance exams and how to keep them motivated and focused in the present situation. A lot of conversation happened with reference to managing time well, techniques like – mind maps and flow charts, etc., importance of solving question papers and lot of writing practices. The toppers also shared the mistakes that they committed and suggested the modified methods of studying that particular subject as well. They too emphasised the fact of attending college regularly, attending the mentorship sessions and approaching a counsellor for help whenever required.

It becomes more appealing for the students when their own immediate seniors share their success mantra with them. The idea is to learn from their success stories and get inspired and feel motivated.

The session was well received by the students who were present as the objective was met.
