It is with mixed emotions that we had gathered here on 02nd February, 2024 to bid farewell to our beloved Class XII students at Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College auditorium. As their journey at our institution comes to an end, we take this opportunity to reflect on their achievements, growth, and the memories we have shared together. The farewell was organized by class XI students who gave their best wishes to their seniors.

This programme was organized in two sessions on the same day where in the first session was at 11:45 pm for Science stream and second session at 2:30 pm for Commerce and Arts students.

For the first session we had honorable Management member Shree.Kushal Hegde Sir, President of Kannada Sangha and Smt.Sumathi Shrinivasan, Admin Kannada Sangha graced the occasion. In the second session students were addressed by Smt. Malati Kalmadi Secretary Kannada Sangha. Principal Dr. Madhuri Chittewan attended both the sessions and addressed the students.

The program commenced with a warm welcome to the class XII students with Lamp lighting and flute played by a student which took every one on a journey of serenity and bliss. Principal Dr. Madhuri Chittewan threw light of wisdom to all the students of class XII. Furthermore, the management members addressed the students in an interactive manner, encouraging questions and discussion on how to be happy, stay focused and to trust in their abilities and have a positive mindset in the face of adversity.

Few Class XII students shared their experiences of two years thus recollecting the memories through a student speech. Class XII students were taken on a visual odyssey through the remarkable journey of theirs through a video. Students were mesmerised as we unveil a tapestry of memories, laughter, and growth, conveying their journey throughout the academic years.

A special cultural programme was organised by class XI students which included a Dance-Drama named ‘Zindagi'(rescuing 41 workers trapped in the Silkyara Bend-Barkot tunnel) which show cased uphill battle, unity and team work.

A comedy Skit named “Coffee with Kiran” with well-executed humour, witty dialogues comedic timing of the students captivated the student audience and left them thoroughly entertained . Fusion dance and Orchestra performance received a positive response and appreciation from the student audience.

Lastly the teachers dance performance added an extra layer of magic and excitement to the cultural programme for their departing students, making it an unforgettable experience for all. Students were captivated by the teachers performance and their applause echoed throughout the auditorium, expressing their appreciation for the teachers’ exceptional performance. The memory of this special dance will forever be etched in our hearts and minds.

After the cultural programme students were asked to collect their H.S.C Board Hall tickets and EE Journals from class teachers in their assigned class rooms with a class photocopy and a delicious farewell refreshment. Arrangement of refreshment for Class XI performers and comparing were also made on the same day.

With vote of thanks we bid farewell to Class XII, we do so with a sense of pride and anticipation. We are confident that these young individuals will continue to shine brightly in their future endeavours.
