The tour began exactly on time as all students had arrived. Breakfast at a hotel was served. The buffet was hot, served well and very enjoyable. The first site seen was the necklace point. Students had seen a river meander on the toposheet. An actual meander was shown. The surrounding forests, crops and the bhor bhatgar dam was also shown and land use pattern was discussed with the students.
The next stop was the Limb well with 12 moats. The various stones, the water channels, rural lifestyle, changes in landuse patters, crops like jowar, sugarcane, haldi were shown to the students.
The next visit was to the Fadnavis wada where students learned about the history of the wada, the construction, painting, the woodwork was discussed . The students then visited the ghats where the river meander, the temples and the ghat was discussed with them.
The religious visit to the Dholya Ganpati was done in the evening. This was followed by a visit to the hotel for snacks and tea.
The tour returned at 8:15 in the evening.
The students liked the area visited as well as the food and logistics. A lot of parents also shared their feedback on the group.
