Ganpati Celebration 2023

“ANUGRAHA 2023: Embracing the divine essence of Lord Ganesha”

On the occasion of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ The President of Kannada Sangha Mr. Kushal Hegde Sir and Mrs. Pushpa Hegde Madam, Our Principal Dr. Madhuri Chittewan along with teachers and students bid farewell with prayers and sought blessings of Lord Ganesha in our college premises on 20th September 2023.
Teachers and students of Std. XI came dressed in the theme of ‘Diversity’ which represented different states of India and its cultural attire. Two best dressed students (one girl and one boy) were selected from each division for the Ramp walk competition by the class teachers. The Best dressed class was selected by the core team and cultural team as well.
Various competitions for the students were organized on the same day such as Photography, Sketches: My Ganesha, Solo & Group dance, Song, Instrumental, Eco-friendly Ganesh Idol making, Rangoli, Mehendi. The Ganpati Sketches by students were displayed on the stilt notice board. The Grand finale was followed by prize distribution. This was done in the college auditorium between 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The prizes were given by Mr. Kushal Hegde, Mrs. Pushpa Hegde and Dr. Madhuri Chittewan Madam for Song, Dance, Instrumental and Ramp walk competitions.
Our principal praised the performances of all the participants and also declared Best Dressed student girl and boy: Mast. Niranjan Bibwe of XI-F and Miss. Shreya Jagdale of XI-B. The prize for Best dressed class was bagged by class XI J. According to the theme of ‘Diversity’ The Best dressed teacher prize was declared by our principal. The first prize was bagged by Mrs. Shobha Channal and second by Mr. Oomkaar More.
Soon after the program, puja rituals for Visarjan procession & Immersion ceremony took place in the college campus. Entire KSJC teachers and students were present. The Dhol Tasha troop trained by our teachers was the main attraction.
In conclusion, the Ganesh festival celebration in our college was a resounding success, filled with joy, devotion, and unity. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of our country and fostered a sense of togetherness among students, faculty, and the staff. Through meticulous planning, enthusiastic participation and meaningful rituals, we paid homage to Lord Ganesh and celebrated his divine presence in our lives. This festival not only provided us with a connect with our roots but also served as a reminder of the importance of faith, harmony and camaraderie. As we bid farewell to Lord Ganesh, we carry the memories of this vibrant celebration in our hearts, eagerly awaiting his return next year.
