As an annual activity, Department of Physics had conducted an Essay Competition on the topic ‘Diversity in Physics’.
Initially, students were told to register their names for the competition. Total 29 students have enrolled for the competition.

On 15th September 2023, competition was held from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, in the class room no. 201. Total 18 students were present for the same. These essays were distributed among the six members of physics department for short listing.

The criteria for selecting the best essays were Relevance to the theme, Comprehensiveness, Originality, Uniqueness, Novelty of Ideas and Insights.
Ten such short-listed essays were handed over to the Department of English for checking the aesthetic side of the essays. The aspects used by English Department were Introduction, Thought Process, Language, Style and Grammar.

On 18th September 2023, prize distribution function was held. Initially, Jagtap Sir gave the briefing according to how physics is diversified subject in daily lives. Then prizes were given away by Principal Dr. Madhuri Chittewan madam for first three best essays and one consolation prize. Principal madam congratulated to each participant of the competition for taking part in an essay competition of a difficult subject like physics. The concluding part of the function was done by Manjuswana Chitale madam by giving the vote of thanks.
