Dr.Kalmadi Shamarao Junior college celebrated 74th Republic day on 26th January in the college premises.

Management members President Kushal Hegde,Vice-President Narayan Hegde, Secretary Malti kalmadi, Hon Trustee Sudhakar Rao, Joint Treasurer Radhika Sharma, Life-Patron Kannada Sangha Mr.Suresh Kalmadi, Chief Guest Mr.N.B Shetty, Principal Dr. Madhuri Chittewan, Staff, Students, and Heads from various sections i.e Kannada-medium, Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, Baner-section, KIS Lohegaon and Senior college attended the program.
Members filled with a feeling of patriotism and dedication gathered in front of the college building.
The celebration started with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest Mr. N.B Shetty and National Anthem followed by pledge by the Junior College Principal, Dr. Madhuri Chittewan.
The entire college campus turned reverberated with the rhythmic vocal performances presented by the students of Kannada medium.
The badges made by junior college Life School students were appreciated by the guests.

This was followed by Prize distribution ceremony and cultural programme in the Auditorium.
The Chief Guest Mr N.B Shetty felicitated students who got positions in various sports and other activities.
Mr.Suresh Kalmadi, Life-Patron Kannada Sangha, handed over Endowment and Kalashree prizes for special achievements in various fields.

The concept of “Parivartan” was splendidly reflected in the fusion dance and songs performed by Pre-primary, Primary, Baner-section and Lohegaon-section which was enjoyed and appreciated by all. This patriotic aura was sustained by the inspirational and motivational speech given by the chief guest Mr.N.B. Shetty.

The programme ended with Vande Mataram followed by the message to create great nation through collective efforts from all individuals.
These voluntary notes of actions were simply marked with the feeling of patriotism, brotherhood and welfare of the whole nation.

ChiefGuest felicitated students who got position in various activities.
Later on Shri Pankaj Shah addressed the audience with his inspiring speech.
He urged students to give their best in their work field for the nations growth and development.
He motivated the republic day celebration was concluded with heartfelt vote of thanks.
