Kaveri Inspire Internship Camp 2023

The Kaveri Inspire Internship Camp 2023 was held on 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 17th January 2023.

 

The Objective of the camp was to give our students the exposure to hands- on experiences and practical approach to learn various concepts related to the subjects of Science, Commerce and Arts. The field visits were organized to various organizations as a part of the Inspire camp.

 

Day – 1: 10th January 2023
The Camp was inaugurated on 10th January in the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Pradeep Bhargava, who explained his journey and how vital it was for him to serve in Government job.
He inspired students by advising them to have better aspirations in life to gain success.
Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Secretary Kannada Sangha briefed about how the Inspire Camp was initiated.

Science students attended the session ‘Wonders of Physics’ facilitated by Dr. B D Chakrabarty , scientist at ISSER, Pune. He demonstrated simple physics experiments by using the scientific toys made by him.

The visit to R K Laxman Museum was organized for Arts students with an objective to know and understand various facets of R K Laxman, a famous Indian cartoonist, humorist , illustrator.
Students witnessed the story narration of his life and Sound and light show depicting the memorable world of Malgudi days, the stories by R K Narayan, a famous author.
Wall Art full of his sarcastic cartoons on World social, political, economical happenings was worth analyzing.

For Commerce students, visit was organised to G. D. Apte CA Firm with an objective of giving them practical experience of accounting.
The session revolved around what is Chartered Accountancy, how the G. D. Apte CA Firm operates, what is a role of a CA in various sectors.

 

Day- 2: 11th January 2023
A visit to Suresh Naik Space Park was organized.
The activities designed were Shuttle Cockpit experience, Zombie Shooting, Planetarium, Centrifuge, Space elevators, Moon walk and Zero Gravity experience activity was closed.

There was an ISRO exhibition, Audio visual display on mission Chandrayana, models of satellite and Robotics show.

 

Day- 3: 12th January 2023
A visit to IISER was organized where students got the opportunity to experiment in the labs.
Also, there was interactive sessions by scientists at IISER.

 

Day- 4: 13th January 2023
Plant visit to Tenneco India Pvt. Ltd was held with the objective to give students an industrial exposure to various concepts like, engineering, manufacturing, canning & welding, HR, designing & development, Functioning of Robots and many more.
A visit to Zapurza was fascinating one, as, it’s a art gallery with a display of a collection of paintings by renowned artists like M.F. Hussain and Raja Ravi Verma, display of traditional jewellery, display of weaves on India where the traditional handlooms, weave types in the paithani saree and the shela.

 

Day-5: 17th January 2023
A visit to FTII was arranged where students visited the amphitheatre , the editing and television rooms, the sound studio museum where there was a display of old pictures, jewelry, clothes, and vessels. The visit was fruitful for the students who understood sound effect editing, 3 d technology, how shoots were done frame by frame etc.
At the ‘Maratha Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture’, Mr. Joglekar highlighted the sectors served by MCCIA like – automobile, education, IT, Chemical and Pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and agriculture. A small quiz was arranged for the student based on G-20 Summit that is happening and then it further entered the MCCIA- activities, functions, roles, support, finance and funding, members, etc.
The Camp ended with the valedictory function where all participants were given certificate in the hands of the Chief Guest, Mr. Bhooshan Kelkar.
In his speech, he made students aware of 5.0 Industrial evolution and various online courses.
Dr. Madhuri Chittewan, Principal, KSJC gave an overview of the camp and the visits held thus congratulating students for their active participation.
