The Session was arranged for students of Std. XII on the topic ‘Careers in Liberal Arts, Mass Communication and Hotel Management after XII ’ facilitated by Mr. Chintan Shah, topper from JBIMS Mumbai and a coach for 1000+ students who wish to pursue their career in management. This session was organized in collaboration with Times of India’s Newspaper in Education (NIE).

Mr. Chintan Shah started the session briefing about 3 major aspects of building an appropriate career choice, i.e., interest, scope and ability. One needs all 3 while making a choice. Majorly the session revolved around three major branches, the graduation courses, Post graduation courses and the career avenues for all three fields –
a. Management and Hotel management
b. Mass Media and Communication
c. Liberal Arts

Students were also made aware of the changing trends and patterns in the undergraduate and post graduate courses along with the skill sets required for all these three fields.
Later the session highlighted the institutes across India offering these courses and then the gateways to various fields with the varied importance of each one of them.

He also highlighted the job opportunities one could have and job descriptions in various sectors with appropriate examples.
He encouraged the students to push themselves out of their comfort zones.
The session ended by question – answers related to many fields like – History, Sports Management, Criminology, Forensic Sciences, etc.
The session was appreciated by many.
