Astitva ecocentre activity 2023

Activity 1 : Making of paper bags from handmade paper for cultural department.
A session on making paper bags was done with the students. Students then made 10 paper bags from the material they had and handed it over to Principal madam. A small video of the making of the bags was prepared and posted on the Astitva insta handle too.

 

Activity 2: Survey – Ganesh Festival
A survey ( google form) about the kind of Ganesh murti, the disposal of waste, the decor by families was designed by our student Vrunda. This was tested by the group and then circulated amongst friends and family. We received 89 responses for the same. The detailed analysis is yet to be done.

 

Activity 3: Clay collection for Punaravartan
Shadu maati from Ganesh Visarjan was collected in the college campus by the students of the Ecoecentre. A lot of clay was collected on 3rd of Oct. 20 families readily donated clay.This was handed over to Ms. Deepa Prabhu in Bavdhan. This clay will be recycled to artisans for preparation of murties next year.
The Punaravartan team was very impressed by the efforts of our students and appreciated our efforts. Two students … Sarakshi Puranik and Swara Natu are going to attend a getogether organized by the Punaravartan team to discuss the further plans an appreciate participants at Empress garden on Sunday – 8th October 2023.
