We the department of English had conducted an activity for std XI and XII students on 4th of September in the Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty Auditorium from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. The theme for the same was Diversity in wild animals and birds. Mr Kiran Vasant Purandare, the finest story teller, a wild life expert, bird watcher, writer and an honorary wildlife warden was invited as chief guest to the college accompanied by the Principal Dr. Madhuri Chittewan. He conducted the session on wild life diversity through his ppt, wherein he stressed even on Biodiversity and spoke about its importance. He also imitated few sounds of birds to enthrall the students.

The response shown by the students was a tremendous one as the auditorium was almost overflown with their presence. Students enjoyed the way he interacted with them during the programme as well as at the end of it. Over all under the timely guidance and support of the Principal, the programme was a huge success. The take away message by conducting this activity was to understand and conserve the wild life creatures and birds and never cage them but instead let them free.
