International women’s Day was celebrated at Dr.Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College on 8th March 2023 to recognize women’s social, and cultural achievements. 

On this occasion, the college organized a program to interview Mrs. Leena Sohoni who is a prolific writer and translator who has translated over fifty books into Marathi including the much-talked-about Lajja by Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen. Ma’am was felicitated by  Principal Dr.Madhuri Chittewan. The interview was taken by Mrs. Devika Deshpande. 

She shared her tales of struggles and success and asked everyone to live their dreams which had a very motivating impact on all. 

The program was attended by all the staff members.
