Birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan is celebrated as National Mathematics Day every year in our country.

Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College’s Mathematics department had organised a PPT competition to honour the great Mathematician and shed light upon his contributions in the various fields ofMathematics.
The programme was open for all divisions of the junior college, with participants from standard 11.

The idea mainly revolved around the theme of ‘PARIVARTAN- Learning by teaching.’
39 students registered. Out of which 6 teams of three students each were selected after conducting a preliminary round.

The final round of the competition took place in AV room. The six teams were named as Ramanujan, Aryabhatta, Aristotle, Lagrange, Archimedes, and Pythagoras.
Mrs. PradnyaKashikar, retired teacher from SP college was the Chief Guest for the competition. She was the judge along with Ms. Bindu Pillai for the competition.There was audience interaction as well, where a few questions were asked time and again.

The Principal -Dr. Madhuri Chittewan graced the event with her presence and the staff members also marked their attendance to motivate and encourage the six finalists.
The programme and its management was appreciated by the attendees, with the Principal also congratulating the participants on their enthusiasm.
The winners were announced. The students who won the first prize received a folder along with pen and the students who won the second prize received Parker pen.
All the participants received participation certificate.
The participants who could not win were also congratulated for their efforts.

All the department members actively contributed in this activity to make it happen.
