Gifted Nurturing Programme 2026–27
Report of the Teachers–Students Meet After the Residential Camp, Interest Inventory Form Filling and Sharing Expectations and Understanding Expectations from Different Stakeholders
Date: 22/10/2026
Number of students present: 14
A Teachers–Students Meet was organized under the Gifted Nurturing Programme at Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College, Pune, following the residential camp held at Hidden Oasis, Saswad, on 7th, 8th and 9th October 2026. A total of 14 students attended the meeting.
The primary objective of the meeting was to provide an informal platform for teachers and students to reconnect after the residential camp, share their experiences, strengthen their bonds, and engage in activities that would support their personal growth and future planning.
Sharing Experiences and Strengthening Bonds
The meeting began with informal interactions among the teachers and students. The students shared their experiences and memories of the residential camp. They spoke about the activities they had enjoyed, the experiences they had found meaningful, and the friendships they had developed during the camp. It was encouraging to learn that students had made new friends and continued to meet and interact with one another even after the camp.
Exploring Interests and Career Options
An Interest Inventory Sheet was distributed among the students. Students were asked to go through the inventory and select the career options they would like to pursue after completing their higher secondary education. They were also encouraged to mention any other career options that were not included in the inventory. This gave them the freedom to explore possibilities beyond the listed choices and express their individual aspirations.
The visits for the INSPIRE Camp would be decided depending upon the interests shown by the students.
The activity was intended to initiate a process of self-exploration and career awareness. The responses will also help the programme understand the students’ aspirations and plan relevant guidance and support in the future.
Understanding Expectations from Different Stakeholders
The students were also asked to reflect on the expectations they experience from different people in their lives. They recorded what they perceived as the expectations of their parents, teachers and peers.
This activity provided an opportunity for students to identify and articulate the various expectations they encounter in their academic and personal lives.
Planning for the Upcoming Parent Session
The meeting concluded with a discussion on the upcoming parent session under the Gifted Nurturing Programme. Students were invited to suggest icebreaker activities that they would like to conduct during the session. Their ideas and suggestions were encouraged so that they could actively participate in planning the interaction with their parents.
This discussion aimed to give students a sense of ownership and responsibility in the programme while creating opportunities for meaningful interaction between parents, teachers and students.
