Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College organized an Ex-Principal’s, Ex-Teacher’s and Alumni Meet on 22nd December, 2025 to commemorate the 30th year of the establishment of the college.
The programme was held with great enthusiasm, nostalgia, and a spirit of gratitude, bringing together past and present members of the institution.
The programme began with a welcome address, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and the enduring legacy of the institution.
Principal, Mrs. Shobha Channal, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the college’s 30-year journey, its academic achievements, and the invaluable contribution of former teachers and alumni in shaping the institution’s reputation.
This was followed by an alumni address by Mr. Akshay Patni, who fondly recalled his student days and expressed gratitude towards his teachers and the institution for laying a strong foundation for his personal and professional growth.
An Ex-Teacher from the Chemistry Department Mr. Shintre shared heartfelt memories and reflected on the joy of teaching and witnessing the success of students over the years.
The gathering was further honored by the address of the Ex-Principal, Mrs. Sumathi Srinivasan, who reminisced about her tenure and appreciated the collective efforts that contributed to the college’s growth and values.
A special moment of the programme was the release of a calendar prepared by the students, symbolizing creativity and student participation. This token along with a mug was distribution to the Management members, Ex-Principals, Ex-Teachers, and Alumni as a mark of respect and appreciation.
The Management address by Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Secretary, Kannada Sangha, encouraged the students and faculty to continue upholding the institution’s rich legacy while striving for excellence in the future.
A short video presentation showcasing memories, milestones, and achievements of the college over the past three decades added a nostalgic touch to the event.
The programme concluded with a vibrant cultural performance by the students of the Rhythm and Roots Club, which was well appreciated by the audience.
The event ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, ex-teachers, alumni, students, staff members, and organizers who contributed to the success of the programme.
The event ended with dinner in an informal atmosphere.
The Ex- Principal’s, Ex-Teacher’s and Alumni Meet proved to be a memorable celebration of the college’s glorious past and a reaffirmation of its commitment to excellence in education.
