The joint Valedictory and Orientation Ceremony of the Gifted Nurturing Program (GNP) was held on 15th October 2025 at the Smt. Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty Auditorium, located within the Junior College campus. The event served as both a heartfelt farewell to the outgoing cohort and a warm welcome to the new batch of gifted students. With students, parents, facilitators, dignitaries, and members of the management in attendance, it was a day of celebration, gratitude, and fresh beginnings.
The program commenced with a gracious welcome address, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment.
A particularly moving segment followed, as parents and students from the outgoing cohort shared their journeys and reflections on the GNP experience.
Eesha Deshpande, a student from the outgoing batch, delivered a heartfelt speech, reminiscing about her personal growth, the meaningful friendships she formed, and the unwavering support she received from mentors. Her words resonated deeply with the audience and served as an inspiration to the incoming students, highlighting the powerful impact the program can have on young minds.
Adding to the emotional resonance, Mrs. Bhide, a parent, expressed her deep appreciation to the staff and faculty for recognizing and nurturing her child’s unique potential. She praised the program’s role in building not just academic excellence but also life skills and self-confidence.
The next highlight was the certificate distribution ceremony, honouring the accomplishments and commitment of the outgoing batch. This was followed by a delightful video presentation capturing key moments from the students’ journey throughout the year – a nostalgic trip down memory lane that brought smiles and a few tears to the gathering.
KSJC Principal, Mrs. Shobha Channal, addressed the assembly with insight and enthusiasm, sharing detailed information about the year ahead for the new batch and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to gifted education. Her talk set a clear path forward for new students and reassured parents of the thoughtful planning behind the program.
Representing the management of the Kaveri Group of Institutes, Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Secretary of Kannada Sangha, shared her pride in the program’s continued growth and success. She encouraged students to embrace the unique opportunities offered by the GNP and reiterated the college’s dedication to nurturing the potential of gifted learners.
The event was further enriched by the inspiring presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Priyadarshan Sahasrabuddhe, who spoke passionately about his own journey as a changemaker and his efforts in addressing social issues. His message underscored the importance of purpose-driven learning and served as a motivating note for all present.
