Students were asked to list down the various problems they have faced and also were asked to note down who was holding that umbrella for them. It was an interactive activity and students shared many things. This activity was followed by another activity called “Gratitude Tree” where in the students were asked to write a gratitude note to the person/Persons/ things that were holding the umbrella for them. The students wrote beautiful messages on a sticky notes and then pasted them on the tree that was drown on the white board.

After the activity with the help of PowerPoint presentation the meaning, importance, benefits, bairn science behind practicing gratitude and different ways to practice gratitude in day to day life was disused with the students.

Smita ma’am added a beautiful point by saying many a time in life we ourselves have to hold the umbrella for ourselves and for that understanding self is very important. She also highlighted the importance of knowing our strengths and weaknesses at this crucial stage in the participant’s life as it can help them set the right goals for themselves.
