Students of Swayam, a startup spirit initiative, embarked on a funded project to create Diwali hampers.

This activity was conducted from 22 to 24th October 2024.

The hampers included handcrafted items with three types of handmade soaps, hand painted diyas, tulsi vrindavan panati and utna.

The response from teachers, along with members of the management, was remarkable. This greatly motivated students to deliver high-quality products that would bring joy to our community during this festive season.

Completing all orders within a challenging timeframe of just three days required significant effort and coordination. Our committed Swayam team worked diligently, demonstrating resilience and teamwork to meet our deadlines. As we navigated this project, students undertook various tasks, including sourcing quality materials through research and effective bargaining.

This aspect of the project taught them valuable negotiation skills and the importance of making informed purchasing decisions. Additionally, students meticulously managed accounts to ensure transparency and accountability.

The creative efforts of the team were evident in the hand-painted diyas and tulsi vrindavan, which were crafted with great attention to detail and artistic expression. Moreover, they ventured into the art of soap making, an experience that not only enhanced their practical skills but also fostered a sense of accomplishment.

Throughout this process, students learned to manage stress and time effectively, balancing their responsibilities while ensuring that each product met standards of quality.

This project imparted invaluable lessons, with the most significant being the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving our collective goals. Through this initiative, students not only contributed to the festive spirit of Diwali but also grew as individuals and as a cohesive team.
