Curriculum

Kaveri International School follow the ICSE curriculum as we are an ICSE affiliated school.

The school is broadly divided into Pre-primary, Primary & Secondary sections:

Pre- Primary School (L.KG & U.KG)

The Curriculum in Pre-Primary has been designed to attain the learning objectives of developing cognitive, emotional, social and motor skills. Children learn to sort, compare, assimilate, observe and infer.

Our Tools

Storytelling, picture reading, picture-story composition, rhymes, site words are some of the activities designed to develop the above-mentioned skills.

Primary School (Grade I-5) Upper Primary School (Grade 6-8) and Secondary School (Grade 9 &10)

The main aim at this level is to provide a firm foundation and an in-depth knowledge of the basic concepts to enable students to think intensively and critically.

Our Tools

An extensive use of technology supplements classroom teaching by making it interactive and enhancing comprehension.

Apart from Languages, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, the students also study Information Technology.

School Timings of Kaveri ICSE International School

The  Kaveri ICSE International School works from Monday to Friday.

 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Primary School and Secondary School
 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Kaveri ICSE International School Pune Students will be expected to stay back for longer hours on certain days and attend school on some Saturdays for sports, club events, and other co-curricular activities.

Beyond Curriculum

We lay emphasis on holistic development through the following:

  • Yoga

  • Mallakhamb
  • Taekwondo
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Community outreach
  • Physical Education
  • Gardening
  • Robotics

These activities form a part of our curriculum and are conducted within the school timing.
No extra payment is charged for the activities mentioned above and are offered to all.
Coding as an optional and paid activity has also been recently introduced.

Our Kaveri ICSE International School counsellors help students resolve emotional, social or behavioral problems and help them develop a clearer focus and a sense of direction. They offer programs are in three domains:

ACADEMICS

Our trained counsellors empower students, staff members and parents through continuous developmental and preventive programs to face the challenges of the 21st century.

CAREER

Aptitude testing and career guidance is also offered by the Counselling Unit to all children at Std. X and XII to help them make the right choices in their higher education and career

PERSONAL/SOCIAL

We provide excellent individual and group counselling sessions to enable the stakeholders to overcome their difficulties. Our final aim is to create students who are confident, creative, empathetic and most of all happy.

The Gifted Programme

As part of Inclusive Education, the Kaveri Group of Institutes inaugurated Kaveri Gifted Education Centre in 2014 to identify gifted children and nurture their potential. We define giftedness as superior intellectual ability, measured by standardized I.Q. tests. Kaveri International School identifies gifted children at a young age with the help of KGEC. All the teachers at KIS receive training in supporting needs of gifted children in the classroom.

Our range of services include assessments and counselling for gifted children, courses in gifted education for teachers and parents and in-class enrichment activities as well as pull-out programs for the children.

An advanced curriculum will be designed to meet the academic needs of these children. Special classes and programs will also be offered to develop essential life skills and support the socio-emotional needs of gifted children.
