Holi – Fastival of colours

Our school had a awareness program on the festival of Holi for children where the teachers took an hour long session with children to play green, organic and eco friendly Holi.
A mythological story of Holika was shown through a video. The ill effects of chemical colours were explained to the children through PowerPoint presentation. There was a demonstration by teachers on using naturals colours and making naturals colours out of beetroots, turmeric, spinach etc. The children also took a pledge to use natural and organic colours and play safe Holi. Holi songs were also played to make the environment more festive.
