IQAC

Objective

The Primary aim of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

Strategies

IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for:

  1. Guaranteeing timely, efficient and progressive performance of the academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  2. Ensuring relevance and enhancing the quality of academic and research programmes.
  3. Providing equitable access to and maintain the affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.
  4. Optimizing and integrating modern methods of teaching and learning into the program.
  5. Ensuring the credibility of evaluation procedures.
  6. Certifying the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure and services.
  7. Facilitating knowledge sharing, establishing and maintaining a network with other institutions in India and abroad.

Functions

Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:

  1. Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  2. Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  3. Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  4. Documentation and Archival of the various programmes / activities to facilitate quality improvement.
  5. Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities.
  6. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
