Library department of Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao Junior College organised the online session ‘Speak a Book’ for the students of std. XII on account of ‘Vachan Prerana Diwas’ being celebrated every year on 15th October to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of our former President Late. Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.

This year the session was conducted on 16th October 2021 and was based on the main theme ‘Relationship’. The sub theme was relating yourself with the book characters wherein students spoke about the characters from the books that they could relate with their own self.

Students also spoke about the books based on the true incidences and their impact on readers’ minds. The objective of the session was to give students the platform to express their views about the books that they have read.

This session was all about getting inspired to read and also inspiring others to read. The books included were ‘The Da Vinci Code’, ‘ Who moved my cheese’, ‘ The Diary of the young Girl Anne Frank’, ‘ Madam Curie’, ‘India’s Most Fearless, ‘ The Trespasser’ to name a few.

Our Principal Dr. Madhuri Chittewan in her address to students appreciated them for their enthusiastic and wholehearted participation and encouraged them to read more.
