This time, as a part of Illume, the session on ‘’Exploring the field of Horticulture’’ was conducted on 8th September 2021 at 4.00pm.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Chinmay Lokare, a horticulturist himself with a vast experience of working with many reputed companies in India and abroad.
Mr. Lokare mentioned that Horticulture is not a new field but surely is a neglected one. If you want to be the one, you need to be very passionate about plants and need to know the plants’ language. The field has a vast scope but one literally has to dirty his/ her hands.

He appealed to the students to take up Horticulture as a career option. He shared the career pathway too. According to him this field provides lot of entrepreneurial opportunities.

Overall, the session went off very well and was well received by the students. Biology students of XII B, D and F divisions attended the session.
