The sports day of Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Ganesh Nagar was held on 23rdDecember 2022.

The sports day began with the blessings of the Almighty by the rendition of the school prayer.
The atmosphere on the ground was filled with energy, enthusiasm and anticipation of the sports events.
Mrs. Pallavi Naik, Principal, Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School inaugurated the Sports Meet by lighting the ceremonial torch. She, along with the Head Boy and the Head girl released balloons and declared the sports meet open.

The ceremonial torch was carried by the students who had participated in different sports at the state and national level.
This was followed by the oath taking ceremony which led to the start of the various sports events.
The events conducted were for the girls and the boys for 5th to 10 the standard.

The events were:

• Mini – Marathon
• Dodge Ball
• Football
• 50 m running race
• Volley ball
• Shuttle run
• Relay race

The winners of the various events in the competition led to the addition of the scores for their respective House.
The prizes were distributed to the winning team and the runner up of each team event.
The House that won with the highest score was – Varun
The runner up House was – Agni
The sports day was enjoyed by the teachers and the students with each one cheering and applauding the participants.
The sports day concluded with Vande Mataram.
