What is the age criteria for admission?

For admission in Mini KG, your child must be two years and nine months complete on 1st June.

How are children selected for admission?

We screen the submitted forms and display a preliminary list. For KG admissions, if your child’s name is in the list, you and your child will be called for observation of the child followed by an interview with you. For admissions to Std. I – IX, if your child’s name is in the list, you and your child will be called for a test in English and Maths followed by an interview with you. Following this procedure and based on the performance in the test, a list of children who have secured admission will be displayed.

How many new admissions do you give every year?

Every year we have 25 seats in the Mini KG, eight to ten seats in the Junior KG and five to six seats in the Senior KG. Seats available in the Primary and Secondary are subject to seat availability in case of vacancy. However, we will try our best to accommodate your child.

When are admission forms distributed?

The admission process for KG, STD I and STD III will start in the month of December. Admission process for Std. II and IV to IX will start in the month of April. Application dates and last dates for submitting forms will be displayed at the school and the website from November onwards for your convenience.

What language options does the school offer in Secondary school (std VI - std X)?

i) For std VI - std VIII - The students learn English as the first language , Hindi as the second language and for third language they can choose from Kannada/Marathi/Sanskrit/French. ii) For std IX & X - The students learn English as the first language and for second language they can choose from Hindi/Sanskrit/French.

Which examination board is the school affiliated to?

KHS Aundh follows the NCERT syllabus.

Are students with special needs integrated into the school system?

Yes, students with special needs are assured of a very secure environment conducive to the growth of every child. Our school counsellors and remedial teachers provide full time assistance.

Is there any ability grouping in the formation of classes?

As a matter of school policy, there is no ability grouping in the formation of classes. We give every child an equal opportunity to blossom.

What are the school timings?

Do you provide transportation facilities?

The school does not provide the transport facility. However, we can provide you the contact details of transport vendors who have been providing transport to our students.

Do you interact with parents?

Parents are given multiple opportunities to interact with the teachers and the administration in a formal and informal meetings. We regularly inform parents about upcoming events through SMS , circulars and the website.
