Donation

Our mentor, Dr. Shamarao Kalmadi, nursed a hopeful dream of bringing smiles to the faces of young boys and girls who come from less fortunate migrant families from Karnataka. He was deeply passionate about giving these deserving children opportunities to live better lives. Educating a child from an underprivileged family not only changes the child’s life but also empowers the community. We strive to fulfil this dream and provide high school education to 217 children so that their dreams will not be limited for the want of money.

You can also contribute to this noble dream and make a difference in the lives of our students by making a donation. There are many ways in which you can make a difference. You can:

  • Sponsor a student.
  • Fund specific aspects of education such as school books, excursions, uniforms, support staff.
  • Donate in the form of Scholarships.
  • Support higher education of our students.

You can make one-time donations or donate in someone’s fond memory. Each and every donation counts and will be used only for the students.

(“Donors will be entitled to a tax exemption under section 80/G of the Income Tax Act 1961.”)

This noble initiative undertaken by the Lila Poonawala Foundation helps students from economically poor backgrounds by equipping them with additional skills apart from their academic ones.

Lila Poonawala Foundation’s Merit cum Needs Based Scholarships

The Lila Poonawala Foundation scholarships are outright grants given to deserving girls from Pune city and district to pursue undergraduate studies in the fields of their choice. This empowering project has brightened the lives of our students and filled them with hope for a better future.

Since 2010-11, girls from our school have been chosen for the Lila Poonawala Foundation under graduate scholarships.  Every year the foundation conducts an interview for girl students of std 8th.  Girls from economically challenged families if they pass the test get the scholarship.
